This program is designed to take the beginning runner from 5Km to running their first Half Marathon. It is designed around various different running methods. A body weight training session is also included so you are best prepared for when you start this part of the training also – leg and core strength is something that is often neglected, especially in beginners. This is a big mistake as this type of training has many benefits to aid your running, the biggest benefit being the increase to your running efficiency. Progressively overloading the different styles of runs over the 12 weeks allows your body to progress by overcoming the gradually increasing stimulus put upon it from week to week but doesn’t overload it and cause injury.
