Description
This 12 week program is designed to take the inexperienced runner all the way to achieving their first 5km without stopping to walk. With both the distance per week and the speed at which you should be doing these runs progressing both slowly and steadily, this program will allow you to reach your goal safely. While the program is written for 12 weeks it is worth taking into account that you shouldn’t progress until the previous week has been completed. Getting to the full 5km may take longer than the 12 weeks, depending on how your body responds to the program. Your bodies safety and recovery is paramount so every precaution should be taken to maximise recovery with ample sleep and nutrition between every session.
